Dr Jay Shah MD FACC is the Chief Medical Officer at Aktiia and has deep leadership expertise across healthcare delivery, leadership, and innovation. Dr Shah studied medicine at the University of Missouri-Kanas City School of Medicine and then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr Shah started his clinical career in Portland, Oregon, where he founded a cardiology practice and built a successful cardiovascular programme, leading a team of over 100 physicians and 600 employees. In 2019 he joined the Mayo Clinic, developing an international centre of excellence for complex thoracic aortic diseases. In 2019, he also became Chief Medical Office for Aktiia bringing over 15 years of real-world healthcare experience to the Aktiia team. He believes that precise, convenient, and patient-centric blood pressure monitoring can make a significant difference for people around the world.
When he is not working, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with his family and children, running, cycling, and reading.
