Dr Jay Shah is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of progressive and diverse experiences in the medical field within academic, clinical, and teaching environments, as well as building medical businesses and service lines.

He completed medical training in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. He founded and built a cardiovascular service line at the Portland Clinic and served on Oregon Health and Science University faculty. Two years ago, he was recruited to the Mayo Clinic to build and serve as the Medical Director of the Aortic Disease program at Mayo Clinic Arizona, where he currently practices and is on the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine faculty.

In addition to clinical and teaching roles, he is an active investor and advisor/consultant to several private companies. In addition, he serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Microsalt Inc, a food-tech company disrupting the oldest commodities – salt.

Most recently, he has started a role as the Chief Medical Officer of Aktiia, an innovative medical startup disrupting the field of hypertension management with a unique technology-enabled remote patient management platform.
